Deforestation is a huge and increasing problem in Africa.
Millions of hectares of woodlands disappear every year
to provide firewood and logs for house construction.

An African house has been developed for African conditions
through generations and its features are superior to other
types of housing.

But its life span is limited because of termites and the
consumption of wood is too high.

An African house is an important part of African cultural
heritage and if improved it will contribute to solving
housing needs.

Stork Project AS made the improvement and designed
unique solutions for housing in Africa:
